How it Works
Mandated Reporter Training offers a variety of trainings that consist of learning modules followed by an exam module. Profession-specific trainings typically include a “General Training” module plus one or more profession-specific modules. We call these collections of modules a “learning path”. The completion of a learning path results in a certificate of completion.
General Training Module
General Training provides an overview of the definitions, requirements, and protections associated with being a mandated reporter. It is a prerequisite for any profession-specific training.
Profession-Specific Module
The Profession-Specific Training offers additional insight into the duties and responsibilities of a mandated reporter, tailored for your occupation.
Exam Module
At the conclusion of the training, you will take a final exam which will test the information that you have learned during the training.
Certificate of Completion
Upon successful completion of the exam, an interoperable training certificate which validates your completion of training is available. Fees may apply.

Continuing Education Credits
Certain mandated reporters in California and Pennsylvania may be eligible to earn continuing education credits with Mandated Reporter Training.
In California, Simple Learning Systems (License #CEP17835), the parent company of MandatedReporterTraining.com, is a Continuing Education Provider (CEP) licensed with the Department of Consumer Affairs. Registered nurses can earn up to 7 to 10 hours of credit with courses approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Licensed California fiduciaries can earn 1 credit hour approved by the Professional Fiduciaries Bureau.
Mandated reporters in Pennsylvania can earn 2 or 3 hours of continuing education credit with courses approved by the Pennsylvania Department of State's Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs (Provider# CACE000100).
